Nsano Opens East Africa Office in Rwanda, Secures Payment Licenses

Nsano opens East Africa office in Rwanda

Pan-African fintech company Nsano Ltd has inaugurated its East Africa regional office in Rwanda, following the acquisition of Payment Aggregation and Payment Remittances Service Licenses (Category II and III) from the National Bank of Rwanda.

Priscilla Hazel, Group CEO of Nsano, expressed enthusiasm about the expansion: “We are thrilled to establish our East African presence in Rwanda. We appreciate the National Bank of Rwanda for facilitating a smooth and transparent licensing process. Rwanda is emerging as one of the fastest-growing technology hubs in Africa, and this perfectly aligns with our goal to become Africa’s leading digital payment processor. As a customer-driven organisation, we believe that expanding our presence across the continent will provide our customers with cross-market synergies that support their growth.”

Founded in Ghana in 2013, Nsano has evolved from a Value-Added Services (VAS) provider to a leading technology company in Africa. The company operates in over 30 countries and maintains regional offices in Ghana, Zambia, Côte d’Ivoire, Rwanda, and the UK. Nsano holds licenses from the Bank of Ghana, the Central Bank of Zambia, and the National Bank of Rwanda. techinafrica.com

In February, Nsano announced a partnership with AFS to revolutionise card payments across Africa, further solidifying its position in the fintech industry.
