The Rwanda Development Board (RDB) is exploring a new investment opportunity that could strengthen the country’s position as a regional destination for motorsport, tourism, and youth talent development.
RDB Chief Executive Officer Jean-Guy K. Afrika recently met with Rami Semrani, CEO of UnityVibe Ltd., to discuss the company’s proposal to establish the UnityVibe Motorsport Academy in Rwanda.
The proposed project would feature a modern motorsport complex, including a go-kart track, autocross and drifting circuits, sim-racing facilities, a professional motorsport academy, and a vehicle tuning garage.
The investment aims to develop local motorsport talent by providing professional training facilities for aspiring drivers, engineers, and motorsport enthusiasts while creating new opportunities for skills development within the automotive industry.
Beyond training, the academy is expected to promote motorsport tourism by attracting regional and international events, visitors, and motorsport enthusiasts to Rwanda.
The project also aligns with Rwanda’s broader strategy of diversifying its tourism offerings and expanding recreational and sporting infrastructure to support economic growth.
If implemented, the UnityVibe Motorsport Academy could position Rwanda as one of East Africa’s leading motorsport destinations, creating opportunities for local businesses, hospitality providers, event organisers, and automotive service companies.
The discussions reflect Rwanda’s continued efforts to attract innovative investments that support youth development, tourism, sports, and private sector growth while strengthening the country’s reputation as an emerging hub for international investment and innovation.
