Zoho growth in Nigeria

Zoho growth in Nigeria

Zoho, a global technology company, has announced a 31% growth in Nigeria in 2023, marking a significant milestone in one of its key African markets. Zoho’s commitment to supporting local businesses through its 55+ apps, available in Naira, has helped companies navigate fluctuating dollar rates. In addition to its growth, Zoho prioritises community initiatives, focusing on education and sustainability efforts across Nigeria, Kenya, and Uganda.

Zoho’s Collaboration with Bridge International Academies

During the Zoholics Nigeria 2023 event, Zoho announced its partnership with Bridge International Academies to support the education of underprivileged children. This Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative will sponsor 200 children, covering school uniforms, fees for four terms, and essential school supplies. The initiative addresses financial constraints that hinder many children from accessing quality education, aligning with Zoho’s strategy of transnational localism, which emphasises local impact while staying globally connected.

Digital Transformation and Education Support

Zoho aims to assist Bridge International Academies in its digital transformation efforts by offering Zoho Wallet Credits. This will help the educational organisation utilise Zoho’s technology solutions to streamline operations and further its mission of providing quality education to underserved communities.

Foyinsola Akinjayeju, Managing Director of Bridge International Academies, Nigeria, expressed gratitude for the partnership: “Our shared commitment to delivering meaningful value is at the heart of what unites us.”

Expanding Sustainability Initiatives

Zoho is also expanding its sustainability efforts, including a unique initiative to recycle billboards used in out-of-home ads and turn them into bags. Over 500 billboards from Nigeria and 1300+ in Kenya have been recycled. This reflects Zoho’s dedication to reducing environmental impact while contributing to the local economy.

Impressive Growth in Nigeria’s Tech Sector

Zoho’s growth in Nigeria since its launch in 2020 is noteworthy, with the company achieving a 43% compound annual growth rate (CAGR) over the past three years. In 2023, Zoho experienced a 21% increase in its partner network and expanded its Nigerian workforce by 40%. Zoho’s flagship products, such as Zoho Workplace, ZohoBooks, Zoho CRM, and ZohoOne, have been crucial in optimising business operations across financial services, real estate, IT, and retail.

Upskilling and Empowering African Youth

In addition to its business growth, Zoho is committed to upskilling initiatives across Africa. Through the Young Creators Program, Zoho has partnered with She Code Africa, empowering African women in tech with low-code app development skills. Zoho has also launched partnerships with J-Hub Africa in Kenya and BabesGotBytes in South Africa to provide digital skills training, further bridging the tech skills gap on the continent.

As Zoho continues to expand across Africa, its focus on community-driven initiatives, sustainability, and education support demonstrates a commitment to uplifting the local economy and creating opportunities for future generations.
